Airborne dermatitis was first described in farmers hypersensitive to pollens of wind-pollinated plants. Clinically, it resembles photodermatoses caused by ultraviolet radiation. Recently, this type of eczema has been observed in workers of a number of factories where chemical allergizing agents are present in the air. Most often the changes are observed in workers dealing with triethylenetetramine, the agent used for hardening epoxy resins.
